Today Hayleighs girls scout troop used some of the $$ they raised from their cookie sales and went "UMA" riding. I do think that she was in Heaven at the farm, it was kind of bittersweet, sure made me want to get back home to the "Warner" farm for some of our own riding of Gpa Keith's "UMA's". They showed the girls what they fed the horses: alfalfa pellets, corn oil (for shiny coats)apple cider vinegar (to keep the flys away) and it really works there was not one fly for as hot as it was and a can of pumpkin (to balance out their bellies). Mind you it is still humid and hot at this time and I did not have enough time to apply a new coat of DEO so my smell is just fitting in with the smell of the barn! After this they showed them to brush the horses and to "tack them up" and they each got 2 laps around the arena. I want you all to look at the view, yes it is right next to the ocean, I told Hay you won't ever get this chance to ride a horse and have this view she agreed! Enjoy!

*~* THANKFUL THURSDAY *~*
Here we are again to another Thursday, and this week:
I am Thankful for all of the emails that I get from family and friends, I love to hear from you all and they don't seem to come in as often as they did before! I understand that you all are busy but want to thank the ones that do send a lil hello ever so often! It is funny how a lil hello will make my day!:>
I am also Thankful that AFN has aired a few of our favorite TV shows and that AI has been one of them! We have enjoyed watching them all but our favorites were of course David A, (Hunter and Hayleigh LOVE you David A) and mine for sure was Brooke!
I hope that you all have a really good LONG weekend and please be safe in your travels and know that we will be thinking of you all!
Love to you all!
~~~ Hunter's Soccer Tourney ~~~
Hunter's team had their first game last night (wed), the record hasn't been the best but I guess they have had fun! It was a single elimination, her team held them at 1-0 till the second quarter, then the "OKI Bombers" scored on them, so at the end of the game it was 1-1. So needless to say they a "shootout" of course the "twins" on her team decided who should take the kicks, and they did pick her and let ladies before gentlemen! She slammed that ball right over the goalies head and right into the corner! That made the whole season not being the best! Her team pulled away with 3 out of 5 winning that game so they move on to the next game on Sat. The video is awful but thought the die hards might be able to unscramble it!! Keep your fingers crossed for the next game!
~ ~ KONICHIWA from IKEI ISLAND ~ ~
We decided to head to "CHURCH" today! Maybe this will be our new place of worship for us on Sundays, we took the Parkin family with us Dustin, Katie and our new nephew Orion. The waters were a little choppy and white today as they have moved us into TC-3, they are saying that the typhoon should be here tommorrow, as they said that 2 weeks ago, any how Darrin hurried home and put our outdoor belongings into the little storage shed and I guess you could say "battoned down the hatches"? We will see what tommorrow brings, Hay is hoping that it will get here so there will not be school, can you imagine her having to stay in the house for an entire typhoon? I think I will send her out in it and see if she can make her way back to UTAH in the wind!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
We LOVE you !
I JUST WANT TO TELL EVERYONE HOW SMALL THIS WORLD REALLY IS.......
THIS LAST WEEK AND A HALF THERE HAVE BEEN SOME PRETTY FUNNY THINGS THAT WE HAVE FOUND OUT, AND YOU CAN PROBABLY IMAGINE THAT IT REALLY MADE ME EXCITED, cuz that is how i am about things!
ANY HOW :
WE HAVE BEEN HERE FOR ALMOST 8 MONTHS, LAST WEEK DARRIN WAS TALKING TO NATE THAT HE WORKS WITH ABOUT DONATING BLOOD, NATE HAD MENTIONED THAT HE USED TO LIVE BY OGDEN REGIONAL, DARRIN SAID TRINS BROTHER JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE UP THERE 2 YEARS AGO, DARRIN SAID IT IS ON A CORNER BY PARK AND SCHOOL, NATE REPLIED DOES IT HAVE BLUE DOORS, DARRIN ALMOST FELL OVER, HE CAME HOME AND TOLD ME AFTER WORK ABOUT IT AND IT WAS ALL I COULD DO TO HOLD OFF TO CALL TJ AND ASK HIM IF HE HAD BOUGHT HIS HOUSE FROM NATE ELKINS, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT DARRIN WOULD WORK WITH HIM! TJ SAID HE ALWAYS WONDERED IF WE WOULD RUN INTO THE GUY HERE THAT HE BOUGHT THE HOUSE FROM LET ALONE DARRIN TO WORK WITH HIM! THAT REALLY MADE MY DAY! DONT KNOW WHY JUST DID!
THE NEXT ONE:
I WORK WITH THIS LADY AT THE SCHOOL, SHE WAS ON RECESS DUTY ALSO (SHE DOESNT HAVE A WHISTLE THOUGH) WE GOT CHATTING AND I HAD ASKED HOW LONG SHE HAS BEEN HERE AND SHE TOLD ME THIS IS I THINK HER THIRD TIME TO THE ISLAND, SHE WENT TO SCHOOL HERE AND GRADUTED FROM HERE, HER DAD IS AND ADMIN AT THE SCHOOL, SO SHE GRADUATED AND THEN WENT BACK TO THE STATES TO COLLEGE IN UTAH, I STARTED TO LAUGH AND TOLD HER I WAS FROM UTAH, SHE THEN SAID THAT SHE GOT DONE WITH COLLEGE AND CAME BACK HERE TO VISIT HER PARENTS AND MET HER HUSBAND HERE (HE IS A MARINE), THEY GOT MARRIED AND MOVED BACK HERE, SHE ASKED WHERE I LIVED AT IN UTAH, I TOLD HER ROY , SHE SAID THAT IS WHERE HER HUSBAND GREW UP, WOW THAT GAVE ME A FUZZY FEELING INSIDE, SO TODAY I ASKED EXACTLY WHERE HER HUSBAND LIVED SHE SAID IT WAS DOWN PAST THE TRACKS IN ROY SO I AM ASSUMING THAT IT WAS DOWN IN OUR AREA BUT HERE IS THE CATCH!!!!!
SHE ASKED IF I GREW UP IN ROY AND I TOLD HER NO THAT I HAD GROWN UP IN MORGAN, I EXPLAINED HOW TO GET THERE AND SHE ALREADY KNEW SHE SAID MY HUSBANDS GMA LIVES THERE I ASKED WHO IS THE GMA AND SHE TOLD ME RUBY CARRIGAN! I WAS SO EXCITED I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES, I TOLD HER SHE HAD TO BE KIDDING, TELLING HER THAT STEVE CARRIGAN WAS MY ART TEACHER AND THAT NEIL WAS MY ALGEBRA TEACHER, AND I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH CHAD!
ANY HOW THAT IS MY SMALL WORLD STORIES OF THIS MONTH! I HOPE YOU WILL ALL FIND IT AS INTERESTING AND HUMOROUS AS I DID! BUT I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT MAKING NEW FRIENDS THAT HAVE TIES SOMEWHERE ALREADY IN MY LIFE!!
TYPHOON COMING
As some may know we are awaiting a typhoon, it is to hit here on Monday.
Darrin's friend from worked asked if we would like to go with them today to an island call "IKEI" eekay, I was really leary about going out and the weather this morning was not promising. The girls have been dying to get out and snorkle, so what the heck, we left around noon and it was about a 30 min drive off the beaten path to a little beach that there was absolutely not a soul in sight, the weather held off and the girls got their first lesson in snorkeling! It was a really fun day, we had such a good time looking for sea creatures and shells that it was 6 pm before we left! I hope you will enjoy our pics!
