So, Hunter was pretty excited for tonight to go with her friends, and Hay was really excited to make sure that she looked good and to tell me about 5 times before Hunter left that she was for sure to break her ankle!

Can I just let you all know that this is a mile stone for me and that I am feeling extremely OLD now!!!

I am hoping that at the next years Homecoming or special dance that I can get some creative pictures as one of my bloggin sista's!!

Just because..............

I thought I would share one of our beautiful nights!!

ENJOY!!!

A few minor repairs..................

After

Before

As you can guess with all of the humidity and condensation on this Island, I guess we should expect a few issues to happen in our cement casa, we did have one repair in June and luckily at that time we had the Inspector General here to make sure that all of the 12 indians did their job, but this time we only had the Chief here for two days to make sure that they got it the job done!! I suppose time will tell to see if the ceiling begins to leak again or mold starts growing also!!! (thank goodness for admin leave)!!

Hopefully Darrins allergies will go away!

Love to you all!!

Update on *S*I*N*L*A*K*U*....................

As of today Sunday Sept 14, we have not had any effects of the typhoon. It has moved away from us do to a cold front. They have moved it away from us until Tues. Which is even better (the kids think) so that maybe we can miss a day of school/work. We are still in TC-3 and had a few rain showers but nothing bad. Who knows maybe it wont even hit the island.

Thanks for keeping us in you thoughts!!!

Love to you all!!

The commissary is a major mad house, Darrin stopped today and got crappy bottled water from the shopette, we have plenty of tuna fish and cup o noodles to last a while and guess what I still have in hiding.......... a bag of chocolate licorice that I knew I would need for a special occasion!!:) I am adding another link if you want to check it out or if not just google the name above and it will keep you up to date!! We are now in TC-3 which means move in all of your loose items from outside or "batten down the hatches". So as before I said plenty of firsts and hopefully a last!!

Sunday Sept 7 **Happy Grandparents Day**

As I think of things to say in this post you should know that I am in tears, the month of Sept is bittersweet to me, one year ago this weekend we were packed up and somewhat homeless, but we could not have done it without all of the love and support from our families. We have had alot of "firsts" this last year and I am hoping that we have alot of "lasts" as well. This really has been an eye opening experience for all of us. As I think of this year with school starting, this is the first time in my kids lives that I have been able to see them off to school, making sure they ate breakfast before they left. So am so grateful for the time that I am being allowed to spend with the girls and I am sure they have the same feelings (not). We have all had alot of quality time to spend with each other and we all needed it! And we are all thankful for all of the visits from our families this past year, it has made our stay alot easier on all of us, and as for the ones that have not visited we miss you more than you know and we look forward to all of the catching up!!

So I will get on with the Tribute to this Sunday :

To my grandparents that are in the Heavens, I love and appreciate all you ever did for me and the teachings that you provided for me to be the person I am, and for Darrins grandparents Thank you so much for all of the support you have given to him and to our family and we hope that you will have a wonderful grandparents day!

For the girls grandparents:
Where do we start? Thanks so much for all that you do and have ever done for the both of them, from the purchase of "Tony's pizza's, to the purchase of "GS cookies" to being the biggest soccer fans to being cheeseburger conasures(sp?). We are wishing you a wonderful day, to listen to "somewhere over the rainbow" and know how much you mean to all of us and that we appreciate it all and for the teachings that you have taught the girls to enrich their lives to become who they will become.

Love to you all!!

Sat AUG 23.............................

Here are some pics from today, we went to the Orion Beer Festival. And I can't believe how many thousands of people there were there and all of the Ladies dressed in their Kimono's. Needless to say that this was probably as close to HEAVEN Darrin is going to get until we get back and he can go fishing. It is a toss up for him of which is better the BEER or the FISH!

Hope you enjoy the pics!!

Another sad trip to Naha Airport.......

Well another dreaded day for us, we are always very teary eyed and dislike the last day of a visit especially this one. Knowing that this was the last of our visitors made it even a little harder. I just want to let Bruce and Linda know that we had 2 of the best weeks here with them. It was so nice to relax and veg out with them and catch up on all of the family. I hope that you survived all of the pranks and the teasing. I know that the girls will keep those memories forever. (ps: she found the spider in her drawer when she got home) (did you find any surprises in your luggage?)
We hope that you had safe travels and got some shut eye w/out snoring ( I know that probably did not happen) But THANKS again for your visit and all of the memories that we now have! Love to you all!

If there anymore up for a travel: room and board is free, just give us a call!
