This is our Back Porch thermometer at 7:45 am on July 4th !!!

This year here at Kadena they had a Americafest, it was alot like the air show at Hill, but with out the flying planes, we could see all of the planes that they have here and go in and tour them but we sure didn't stay in them to long it was like a kiln! They had alot of food vendors selling all kinds of meat and funnel cakes and they had plenty of water and beer there as well!! We had a good time there but didnt stay to long it was so hot and we were all soaking wet of perspiration yes it was a deodorant failure day!!!

Later in the afternoon we had a BBQ with the Parkins, the food was really good she made a Potato salad that was just like Gma Linda's and Brenda's (really good)(wow the little things that get me through)!

After dinner we went to see the fire works, we parked in Darrins work parking lot and had front row seats!

All in all it was a really good day, but on our way home Hay asked will we be able to go again next year, Darrin looked at me and said hopefully next year we will be at ECR!! Keep our fingers crossed!!
I hope you all enjoy the pics! Love to all! And GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

>*< Butterfly Gardens >*<

Today we went to the Butterfly Gardens it is in Nago close the Aquarium, we went with the Parkins, on our way there we went through the biggest rainstorm yet!! The girls opened the car doors at a stop light and the water was to the bottom of the doors, they both wanted to get out and play in the water but they may have been swept away! We made it through the storm and made it to the butterflies, here you are suppose to wear a bright red shirt, so I did and Hunter wore bright pink and Hay wore her bright butterfly shirt, we walked in the butterfly house and it was very overwhelming (as you will see in the pics) I am not kidding the butterflies swarmed me I had them coming from every direction, they were in my hair, stuck to my arms, legs and feet I think at one time I had 50 butterflies attached to me!! I started to get a little freaked out of them so did Hunter, Hay she was just enjoying all of it!! They both said that we have to bring Gma Linda here, that she will love it!!
The first pic is a BUDHA house, I took it especially for TJ(I know you love a BUDHA)

I hope that you will enjoy the pics and I am also sending out a few extras in our thoughts to Heidi and her family and also to John, Jordan, and Crew, John is leaving in the morning for the sandbox, and Jordan will be headed back to Utah soon and hope that they will have healthy and safe travels!

Love to everyone!

* * * * * SHURI *JO* CASTLE * * * * *

Today we headed out to Shuri Jo Castle, Kyndra was to be the princess and Hunter, Hayleigh and Shayli were to be her servants and maids, I am pretty sure she thought we were going to a castle like at Disneyland! We had a really fun day and I think they enjoyed the views and the culture, me myself I enjoyed the company!!

After the castle we stopped and ate at FOUR SEASONS! It was very good and on the way home stopped at the 100 yen plaza and spent their "yems"!

All in all it was a very memorable day!! Pretty sure that we are not letting these visitors go home either!! Hope you enjoy the pics!

:) Our second set of visitors have arrived :)

Well as you know we have been waiting for our second round of visitors and they have finally touched down on "JERPAN" soil, yeh we were so glad to see some smiling faces that we knew!!

The two younger ones looked as though they had a little bit of umph left in them but the older two sure looked like they needed to crash!

Of course it is Hayleighs custom to stop off at the GOLDEN ARCHES on the way home from the airport, so we did and all of them are now snuggled sound in their beds for a short day or night sleep to them!! It wasn't good night or good morning it was good grief!!

*~* Thankful Thursday *~*

WOW I have dug into an archive of old pictures!! and as today/tomm is thursday I figured I should use this as my thankful picture!! Darrin informed us the other night that exactly 20 years ago today/thursdy he got his drivers license here on this island!! Yes that means that today/thursday is his 36th BDAY! and I am thankful for him! I am thankful for his patience, I am thankful for his hardwork, I am thankful for being a great husband and father!!
I have to add that the above pic was taken in 88 as well, can you believe that we have been together that long? almost a quarter century!

As he told us about his license Hunter asked him if he would have imagined he would be back here 20 years later with his kids and he just laughed!

We hopefully will take him out to eat later on tom night, but we did sneek some balloons that sing to him into work after he left so he will have a "SURPRISE" in the morning and you know how well he is going to like that!! :<
Love to you all!!

~ TORII ~ BEACH ~

Hunter and Trin

Hayleigh the MERMAID

Today we went to Torii Beach for Orion's Bday party, it was sprinkling off and on all morning so not sure what it would be like but turned out to be a really good day! They have a big slide there that all of the kids played on and they all turned into prunes, Hunter and I found us a new sport they we like "KAYAKING" what a blast and a good work out at the same time, we didn't go out to far as we were instructed by MR. NERVOUS NELLY! Yes he is getting the genes of nervous from his MOM!! As we were out there a fish flew out of the water and kept flying about 20 feet, Hunter informed me that fish do that to get away from a predator, so I am thinking that there may have been a GREAT WHITE out there! (HAHA) Any how we had a good time all but Darrin he said it was to nerve racking for him to have us in the ocean and Hay in the slide, maybe PROZAC would help him? I hope you all like the pics and the vid! LOVE to you all! sorry poor quality video but you can hear the waves!

* * * MIHARA RIDING CLUB * * *

Today Hayleighs girls scout troop used some of the $$ they raised from their cookie sales and went "UMA" riding. I do think that she was in Heaven at the farm, it was kind of bittersweet, sure made me want to get back home to the "Warner" farm for some of our own riding of Gpa Keith's "UMA's". They showed the girls what they fed the horses: alfalfa pellets, corn oil (for shiny coats)apple cider vinegar (to keep the flys away) and it really works there was not one fly for as hot as it was and a can of pumpkin (to balance out their bellies). Mind you it is still humid and hot at this time and I did not have enough time to apply a new coat of DEO so my smell is just fitting in with the smell of the barn! After this they showed them to brush the horses and to "tack them up" and they each got 2 laps around the arena. I want you all to look at the view, yes it is right next to the ocean, I told Hay you won't ever get this chance to ride a horse and have this view she agreed! Enjoy!

~ Soccer Saturday ~

Today we woke up and the themometer on the back porch read 105 at 9:30 am, and that was telling us what our day would be like, Hunters game was at 12 pm, Holy cow can I just tell you that my deoderant has failed me today for sure, and I had some serious Mt Dew going on, Darrin even told us today that he is going to break down and start wearing a speedo and wife beater! I will for sure post that for all of you to see!
Any how Hunters team lost due to the heat and "NO" motivation as she told us, below is a clip of her last game at CAMP FOSTER hope you enjoy!

*~* THANKFUL THURSDAY *~*

Here we are again to another Thursday, and this week:

I am Thankful for all of the emails that I get from family and friends, I love to hear from you all and they don't seem to come in as often as they did before! I understand that you all are busy but want to thank the ones that do send a lil hello ever so often! It is funny how a lil hello will make my day!:>

I am also Thankful that AFN has aired a few of our favorite TV shows and that AI has been one of them! We have enjoyed watching them all but our favorites were of course David A, (Hunter and Hayleigh LOVE you David A) and mine for sure was Brooke!

I hope that you all have a really good LONG weekend and please be safe in your travels and know that we will be thinking of you all!

Love to you all!

~~~ Hunter's Soccer Tourney ~~~
Hunter's team had their first game last night (wed), the record hasn't been the best but I guess they have had fun! It was a single elimination, her team held them at 1-0 till the second quarter, then the "OKI Bombers" scored on them, so at the end of the game it was 1-1. So needless to say they a "shootout" of course the "twins" on her team decided who should take the kicks, and they did pick her and let ladies before gentlemen! She slammed that ball right over the goalies head and right into the corner! That made the whole season not being the best! Her team pulled away with 3 out of 5 winning that game so they move on to the next game on Sat. The video is awful but thought the die hards might be able to unscramble it!! Keep your fingers crossed for the next game!
